The historical Egyptian Spice Bazaar (Misir Carsisi) or so-calledSpice Market, is a colorful and mystical covered spice market lined with spice stalls in Eminonu coast, near theYeni Mosque, in the Historical Peninsula of Istanbul. It is also one of the most popular covered markets in the world, together with famous Grand Bazaar .
It is a popular point of interest and a perfect place with the tourists to end their Istanbul visit by shopping for some souvenirs for their beloved ones before leaving Istanbul.
The Yeni Mosque, which means "new”, is one of the popular landmarks on the Eminonu coast. The mosque is worth a see with its big courtyard and the turquoise, blue and white Iznik tiles.
History of Galata Bridge dates back to very old times. During the Byzantium era, there has been works to build a bridge on Golden Horn. The first bridges on Golden Horn were destroyed in 1204 during Crusade.
Later on, during the Sultan Bayezit II era, Leonardo Da Vinci offered to build a bridge here but that offer was not accepted. Many other bridges were built to that area during the history.
The 5th and the latest bridge is now one of the most popular sights in Istanbul with its great views, people fishing on, restaurants and cafes under. You can try the famous fish sandwiches there. Walking on the bridge and passing the Golden Horn in the company of Istanbul’s great historical and panoramic views is also a great attraction for the visitors.

Fish sandwich, called as "Balik Ekmek” in Turkish, is a very famous and delicious street food served from the fishing boats, made of grilled white fish, raw onions, and salad stuffed in a half loaf of white bread. It is a classic for both locals and tourists when they have a break in Eminonu shore, on the Golden Horn side.
