Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Determines NEW value-added tax on apartments

-President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after the periodic meeting of the government on March 28, 2022
-That all residential apartment purchases will be subject to the VAT law associated with the area of the apartment.
-The value of the value-added tax on apartments located in areas of natural hazards whose area does not exceed 150 square meters is only 1%, and the value of the tax on apartments exceeding this area will be 18%.
- The Turkish President also announced that the value of the value-added tax on apartments whose area does not exceed 150 square meters will be 8%.
-Erdogan announced that he would reduce the value-added tax on the sale of land to only 8%.
-The president added that we will raise the value-added tax on profits from the sale of cars, yachts and boats from 1% to 18%.
